An Alternative Approach to Handling Criticism: A Laugh for Your Wednesday

Passive Aggression, How You Amuse Me

What I’m about to show you is one of my favorite things on the entire internet. It’s not funny in a way that makes you laugh until you cry, but it is funny in a way that makes you show your friends over and over again.

On the heels of yesterday’s post, this is quite appropriate. If you have ever wanted to fire off a nasty reply to someone in response to criticism, you must watch this video. It was created by Ze Frank, and you must go watch it. Go. Must.

@Rebecca– I’m really glad you liked it! I first found this years ago, and I’m glad I now have a forum to share it in.

Hysterical! Wait…what does my exclamation point stand for?

@Peggy– I’m not sure… You bring up a great point for consideration though. Gotta be careful of how you use punctuation after showing this to someone!

I’d better make it clear that I am not employing Ze’s techniques in my own writing. ; )

Ze Frank responds kindly to IHYJ:

    “hi chuck -

nice to meet you : )

    thanks for the shout out.”

Of course, since he knows I understand his punctuation code, he might be telling me off…

@Alan– Thanks for stopping by, Alan. I’m glad you enjoyed it.

I think that I need to mix in days where this kind of stuff is all I post so that I keep things somewhat light and fresh around here.

Can’t have all advice, motivation, and rants 24/7, right?
